Who we are
Silverline is a trading name of SLCG Rock Group Limited, registered in England & Wales under company number 16716764. We act as the data controller for the personal data you send us when you apply for a role or send an open application. This notice adds to our Privacy policy, which sets out your rights over your personal data and how to exercise them. Questions about an application go to careers@silverline-g.com.
Data we collect
We collect the information you choose to send us, such as your CV, a covering note, your contact details and your education and employment history, together with notes from interviews and any assessment. References are requested only with your agreement, at offer stage. Before employment starts, we check the right to work in the United Kingdom, as the law requires. Please do not include sensitive information, such as health, ethnic origin or religious beliefs, in your CV.
How we use it
We use your information to assess your application, arrange interviews, communicate with you and make a hiring decision (lawful basis: steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interests in recruiting). Right-to-work checks are carried out to meet a legal obligation (lawful basis: legal obligation). When you send an open application, we keep it for six months so we can contact you about future roles; you can ask us to delete it sooner at any time (lawful basis: consent, given by sending it). Hiring decisions are made by people; we do not make decisions about candidates by automated means alone.
How we share it
Only the people involved in the hiring decision see your application. We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that host our email and files under written agreements, with professional advisers under confidentiality obligations, and with authorities where legally compelled.
International transfers
People involved in hiring may work outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on legally recognised transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, in line with applicable data protection law.
Retention
If your application is unsuccessful, we delete it six months after the end of the process. An open application is kept for six months from when you send it, and then deleted. If you join Silverline, your application becomes part of your employee record.
Recruitment fraud
Silverline never charges candidates a fee and never asks candidates to move money. Offers are made in writing and only from addresses ending in @silverline-g.com. If you receive a message about a role at Silverline that seems doubtful, forward it to careers@silverline-g.com before replying.
